Okay this has gone on at least 80% longer than I needed.
These are the girls who defied death itself to defeat Queen Beryl.
These are the girls who traveled to the future to take down the dude who practically wiped out the entire planet.
These are the girls who stood alone against an endless evil army and fought and won against a giant one-eyed tentacled eldrich horror from another dimension.
Being driven in a circle for five minutes by a monster with a whip with apparently no alternate plan besides “keep running in a circle”.
And you know I’m FINE with the comedy relief monsters of the week. And I’m fine with the pre-power-up monsters of the week at the beginning of the series. But how about we maybe not combine the two and make our heroines look like fucking useless morons.
Just a thought.
Because I know that this is being set up as some kind of deadly situation so that Pegasus can come in and save the day and seriously, fuck that. Fuck undercutting your characters like that. Go for the danger or go for the laugh, but don’t do both. They deserve better than that, they’ve fucking earned it.

He was getting SO PISSED too. Calling like every fifteen minutes for the past TWO DAYS, and every time he’d get that busy signal, just getting more and more frustrated.
Probably wanting to call the others too. Which one is she talking to now? He knows she’s circulating. Getting to the point of half dialing someone’s number and then talking himself out of it.
He’d call Ami, but if Ami’s mother answers it would just seem very inappropriate and he can’t bear to make things uncomfortable for poor Ami.
He considers Mako, but he’s not sure what kind of schedule she keeps and he really doesn’t want to disturb her. Mamoru has this vision that everything Mako cooks is critically intensive, like cartoon souffles and the slightest noise at the slightest wrong time could destroy everything and he’s really keenly aware of that and doesn’t want to ruin it for her.
Rei maybe, but he knows it he calls Rei and actually gets through he’s going to get an earful and just no, not right now, he’s frustrated enough.
And calling Minako is absolutely out of the question. She probably thinks he’s locked himself on the balcony or something.
So instead he just keeps trying Usagi every fifteen minutes. You see how he’s just out of the shower? Like he TIMED that shit. He tried to call, got a busy signal, then RAN into shower. Didn’t even wait for it to warm up because there isn’t TIME. was in and out in exactly thirteen minutes, then settled down and wrote a few more sentences before his travel alarm went off and he tried again.
And the first thing he does?
“YOU’RE TALKING TO YOUR FRIENDS ALL THE TIME *SADFACE*”
OH MAMORU
And then they FINALLY get to have a conversation, and it’s:
Mamoru: You were talking to your friends and I couldn’t get through! GRUMPY. PS: What did you guys decide about the new enemy then, since you’ve been talking to them for two days straight?
Usagi: That was 100% NOT what we were talking about, but that is TOTALLY topic #1 tomorrow really I promise not Motoki at all but listen now I’m embarrassed about all this and i kinda HAVE been on the phone all day so hanging up on you now Mamo-chan.
Followed by:
I LOVE HIM SO MUUUUCCCHHH *rolls around on bed*
